The Voting Integrity Project is a coalition of concerned individuals who, in the wake of the 2004 General Election, have come together to seek answers that are presently not being answered to our satisfaction.

We are in favor of:

  • The guarantee that every person's vote counts
  • The sanctity of the voting process
  • The preservation of democracy
  • Open, transparent, accountable elections software
  • Secure, unhackable reliable source code
  • Paper audit trails, as used in Diebold ATM machines
  • Standard Systems across all states with federal regulatory oversight
  • Full non-partisan investigation into any and all irregularities

We are opposed to:

  • Voter supression techniques
  • Unsecure, hackable software in voting and election tabulating machines
  • Multiple counting by machines or humans
  • Improperly implanted code in voting machines
  • Tampering with voting machines, voting cards or final tabulation numbers
  • Officials or machines not counting all the votes or adding votes
  • Official influence which changed vote totals
  • Other problems with vote tabulation
  • Most importantly, VIP is against the CORPORATIZATION OF THE VOTE!  America's electoral process should not be controlled by privately-held companies with ties to politicalparties. We The People should not allow private, for-profit corporations, answerable only to their officers and boards of directors, and loyal only to agendas and politicians that will enhance their profitability, to handle our votes.
